Lumber Ridge Laurel Mists – Clue 2 Finished!

Right down to the wire! I didn’t think I would make it but I did! Laurel Mists MKAL Clue 2 finished just in time! It wasn’t necessarily a difficult clue but the shawl is starting to get big!

Can you see the color variances in the purple?

I’m starting to see some of the color changes starting in the sock blank, and that is very exciting! I’m sure it will really start to change in the next clue and that will make for very enjoyable knitting.

Love the mountain motif from the mosaic section echoed in the lace!

I was happy to see the lace, and I do recommend placing stitch markers after every pattern repeat. I often missed a yarn over and would find it on the next lace row. The lace design is reminiscent of the mountains in the mosaic section and I love to see the motif repeated like this.

Repeating motifs are so nice in a design like this!

After clue 2, this is the yarn I have left:

  • MC (Desert Clay) – 70 g
  • CC1 (Wanderlust) – 97 g
  • CC2 (Lost Lagoon) – 100 g

How are you progressing? Have you finished with Laurel Mists MKAL Clue 2 yet? It’s absolutely OK if you haven’t; enjoying the process is the most important thing! If you are interested in trying out the pattern it’s not too late to get involved! You can get the pattern on the SweetGeorgia website or Ravelry, and I’m using the colors found in the Lumber Ridge kit. If you want to see my prior progress, you can check out my finished clue 1 or my kick off post!
