Lumber Ridge Laurel Mists – Clue 3 Finished!

I’m early finishing this clue! I finished Laurel Mists MKAL Clue 3 with time to spare! It’s mostly knit or stockinette which makes for pretty quick knitting, and I was spurred on by the color shifting finally happening with the sock blank. The shawl coloring now reminds me of a sunset from a seashore. It’s so gorgeous!

Check out that color shift!

I’m really happy with how this project is turning out; I feel like it was designed very well, with clue 1 introducing an idea, and clue 2 expanding on that idea. Clue 3 went back to the ideas in clue 1 and introduced a different shape; the shawl started out as a triangle shawl and now it’s more like 4 wedges. I’m thinking we’ll go back to the mosaic and lace motifs in clues 4 and 5, but who knows! We’ll find out soon enough!

After clue 3, this is the yarn I have left:

  • MC (Desert Clay) – 70 g
  • CC1 (Wanderlust) – 35 g
  • CC2 (Lost Lagoon) – 87 g

Progress so far – it’s really turning into something gorgeous!
